This work was originally for piano but its transformation to brass quintet seemed logical because of the melodic material. The work opens with trumpet melody then progresses to a series of arpeggios passing throughout the group. The tuba then has a long section of solo melody before the return of the first section. Melodic, rhythmic, exciting!
