Loki is said to be the step-brother of Thor and a constant source of irritation to all with whom he comes in contact. The music therefore depicts his playful yet devious nature. In this work the composer tips his hat to several of his favorite composers including Prokofiev, Richard Strauss and Claude T. Smith.
