This piece is a standard in the repertoire for brass quintet thanks to an arrangement by Robert King. After Robert King published his arrangement it was thought that it may have been written by Daniel Speer. Regardless of who wrote it, the great antiphonal writing suits 6 clarinets (2 choirs of 3 clarinets each).
