This peaceful Austrian carol is beautiful in its simplicity and elegance. Melody is found in all voices. Often performed by choirs, this is a favorite with audiences all over the world. There is a beautiful version found on a Mannheim Steamroller CD that is played often on radio stations at Christmas time. This arrangement has been scored for 3 trumpets (sometimes with cup mutes) and 3 flugelhorns to maximize the colors available to the trumpet ensemble.
